Diesel Technician, FT, Bloomington, MN

Hoglund Bus Company is hiring full time, experienced diesel technicians at our Bloomington, MN location. This position is responsible for performing mechanical repairs as assigned on various diesel vehicles including school buses, commercial buses, and medium duty trucks. Our technicians are paid an hourly wage with the ability to earn monthly incentives for productivity and training. We are currently offering up to a $4000 hiring bonus for this position depending on experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.
  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy and in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
  • Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
  • Communicate with Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
  • Road test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician.
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience. Degree in diesel repair is a plus.
  • Previous experience repairing diesel vehicles in a dealership setting, including engine repair and electrical diagnostics.
  • Navistar and Cummins certifications desired.
  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours per day & lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • CDL with passenger endorsement or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Must pass pre-employment screens.

This position is responsible for performing mechanical repairs as assigned on various diesel vehicles including school buses, commercial buses, and medium duty trucks. Field Service Diesel Tech, FT, Marshalltown, IA

Hoglund Bus Company is hiring for a full time, experienced field service diesel technician based out of our Marshalltown, IA location. This position is responsible for performing mechanical repairs at customer locations as assigned on various diesel vehicles including school buses, commercial buses, and medium duty trucks. This position can work remote as most of the work will be done onsite at customer locations.
