Shipping/Receiving, F/T, Monticello Location

Hoglund Bus Company is hiring a FT Shipping & Receiving Clerk for our fast-paced parts warehouse in Monticello. This position acts as the lead warehouse person and is responsible for pulling parts for daily deliveries, putting away stock orders, preparing shipments, and assisting with deliveries.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Checking incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Confirming accuracy of packing slips, shipping invoices, vouchers, & back orders.
  • Maintaining files of invoices, vouchers, shipping orders, and packing slips.
  • Putting incoming parts and other materials in their proper locations.
  • Entering parts into computer system.
  • Keeping the warehouse organized.
  • Shipping parts to customers via UPS, SpeeDee, or Truck Freight.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of warehouse experience.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency along with a strong desire and ability to master new computer systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize, prioritize, and effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to safely operate standup or sit-down forklift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.

Diesel Technician, F/T, Monticello Location

Hoglund Bus Company is hiring full time, experienced diesel mechanics at our Monticello, MN location, day or evening shifts. This position is responsible for performing mechanical repairs as assigned on various diesel vehicles including school buses, commercial buses, and medium duty trucks.
Our technicians are paid an hourly wage with the ability to earn monthly incentives for productivity and training. We are currently offering up to a $4000 hiring bonus for this position depending on experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.
  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy and in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
  • Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
  • Communicate with Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. 
  • Road test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician. 
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience. Degree in diesel repair is a plus.
  • Previous experience repairing diesel vehicles including engine repair and electrical diagnostics.
  • Navistar and Cummins certifications desired.
  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours per day & lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • CDL with passenger endorsement or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Must pass pre-employment screens.

Parts Counterperson, F/T, evenings

Hoglund Bus Company seeks a full time, experienced Parts Counterperson to join our Monticello location - evening shift. The Counterperson is responsible for assisting our customers in purchasing needed parts over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone while providing a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities:

  • Answering phone calls to provide customer assistance.
  • Informing customers about companion part requirements, product specials, and our full product line. 
  • Locating out of stock parts & submitting emergency orders per customers’ requests.
  • Setting up orders for daily shipments, deliveries, or parts pick-up.
  • Receiving payment for parts purchases or obtaining credit authorization when necessary.
  • Keeping current on new products and product updates.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency with Windows and MS Office suite.  CDK/ADP and DMS systems a plus. A strong desire and ability to master new computer systems.
  • Ability to bend, twist and reach to obtain parts inventory on a regular basis.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Ability to sit 6 - 8 hours during a shift.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • International experience a plus (not required).
